Production Staff, 2022-2023 Theatre Season

Marie Eichhorn: Artistic Director / Director  (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown / Young performers Showcase)
Leigha is excited to celebrate her 17th season with Rocking Horse Productions. Her most recent credits include directing The Odd Couple, Yes, Virginia There is a Santa Claus, Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class and her all-time favorite show, Les Miserables. Leigha will be forever grateful to Doug Kern to have the chance to continually “play” and applauds all of our amazing casts and crews for their incredible work and creativity in our Williamsville home. She, also, thanks her loving family, friends and boyfriend Kevin for their never-ending support of her theatrical passion.


Deb Rennicks: Production Coordinator
Deb worked stage crew for St Mary’s High School then became stage manager after graduation. She stage managed the SMH Alumni Association’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar and MTC’s production of Oliver, both at Lancaster Opera House. After many years away, Deb was bitten by the theater bug and was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to be part of a wonderful team with RHP for their 2013 season. In her first show back, she ran spot light as Sister Mary Myopia in Nunsense, as well as doing Props. After doing props and run crew for three seasons, Deb stepped into the stage manager role with Of Mice and Men,  A Few Good Men, It’s a Wonderful Life,  The Wizard of Oz & The Tales of Peter Rabbit and his Friends. RHP started a new chapter at the Williamsville Meeting House and Deb is happy to be Rocking Horse’s Production Coordinator as well as providing props and set dressing.  Many thanks to her friend, Doug, for adding her to his RHP Family and the rest of their amazing crew. Her heart belongs to RHP

Jane Navarro: Director (Brighton Beach Memoirs) /Stage Manager (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown)
Jane has had the pleasure to work with Rocking Horse Productions for over 15 years. She has been the stage manager for many productions including Les Miserable, Noises Off and Legally Blonde.  She took great pride in directing A Few Good Men, Of Mice and Men, and Wizard of Oz among others. Jane started her theater journey with the Lancaster Youth Bureau and has had the opportunity to work with many production companies such as TNT Productions, Fearless Players, and her own company, Dragonfly Theater Company which she produced the original dinner theater production of Billy Bob and Bertha’s Redneck Wedding. When not in rehearsals, she is working as a purchasing assistant or relaxing on the deck of her lake house.

Derrik Reynolds: Director (Dial M For Murder)
Derrik is ecstatic to be back with Rocking Horse Productions.  His RHP Director credits include: Murder on the Orient Express, and And Then There Were None. He was also seen in their production of The Wizard Of Oz. (Nikko)  He have also performed Charlottes Web as Templeton, It’s A Wonderful Life (Mr. Martini)  9 to 5 the musical, A Few Good Men, Jekyll & Hyde, and Children of Eden all with RHP. Derrik is the assistant director of West Seneca Youth Theater Inc. where he works with some of Buffalo’s most talented children.


David Hall: Director (Every Christmas Story Ever Told. (and then some)
David has directed for various local theater groups for over 20 years and he is happy to add Rocking Horse to the list. He began directing while talking classes at the Studio Arena Theatre School. He does enjoy being onstage but is most comfortable directing. Some of his favorite productions have been: Over the Tavern, Love Sex and the IRS, Dracula and Run For Your Wife for Lancaster Regional Players, The Long Weekend and Dark of the Moon with Amherst Players, Little Shop of Horrors, The Glass Menagerie, Grease and most recently Hair for Aurora Players.

Cindy Bottoms-Noller: Music Director (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown / Young performers Showcase)
Cindy is always happy to work with the Rocking Horse family. She has previously music directed with O’Connell and Company, and Subversive Theatre on shows such as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Nunset Boulevard,  Gentlemen Prefer Divas, and Full Monty. She has worked with Rocking Horse on Children of Eden,  and Jekyll & Hyde.  Cindy holds a B.S. in music education, and a Masters of Arts and Humanities.  She is currently enjoying retirement after a 20 year career as a music teacher with Kenmore Tonawanda schools.


Danielle Rennicks: Stage Manager (Brighton Beach Memoirs / Dial M For Murder)
(Danielle is excited to be working with Rocking Horse Productions this season as a stage manager. In the past, Danielle has done both pit orchestra and stage crew with Rocking Horse; some credits include The Odd Couple (2022), Murder on the Orient Express (2022), It’s A Wonderful Life (2017) and Les Misérables (2014). Outside of theatre, Danielle is a PK-8 general music teacher at St. Benedict School. She also has a 250K following on TikTok (@bassclari.stamps). “Thank you to Dan, Emily and Dad for always supporting me, to Mom for getting me into theatre and to Jane and Derrick for trusting me to be their stage manager this season.” Enjoy the show!

Chuck Ziehl:  2022-2023 Season Set Design,
Another season begins with “Rocking Horse Production” where does the time go. Its been over ten great years since Doug asked me to join the company. Some of our shows were “Noises Off” (biggest set we ever built),  “Christmas Story” “Odd Couple” “Joseph Technicolor Dream Coat” , “Les Miserables”, and “A Few Good Men” My favorite was “12 Angry Men” (the most detailed).  I would like to thank my wife  Janet for being my sounding board and adding her artistic touch to the set. I do it because I love it. I thank Doug and Leigha for the opportunity to be a part of this.   As always we thank the people that come to see our plays and musicals. You make it all worth while. Thank You!

Ruth Strzelewicz, Technical Director.
Ruth is thrilled to once again be working with Rocking Horse Productions. She has a BFA in Theater Design and Technology from the University at Buffalo and spent five years at the Lancaster Opera House as the Assistant Technical Director where she had the privilege to do the lighting design for countless shows including several favorites with Rocking Horse (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Misérables, Of Mice and Men, Jekyll & Hyde, A Few Good Men).  Ruth would like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support and is proud to be part of the Rocking Horse family.

Janet Ziehl :  Costumer (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown)
Janet is  pleased to be working with Rocking Horse Productions Again this year. It is always a pleasure to work with Doug and crew, especially since  her husband Chuck is  creating the sets.  Shows Janet has enjoyed costuming in the past include, Gypsy and Camelot with Stage Struck Productions and, Barefoot in the Park and Last of the Red Hot Lovers with Rocking Horse Productions.  Janet is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.
